children in a changing climate is securing children and young people a voice in preventing and adapting to climate change.
ccc-learning is supporting the wider programme through developing and enabling exchange of training and learning materials on the different aspects of climate change.
An extensive body of testimonies from children around the world on their experiences of climate change is being developed and will provide an invaluable resource for students to understand the real impacts of climate change on children in different countries, particularly those living in vulnerable communities.
ccc-learning will provide a hub and gateway for learning resources and activities related to climate change focusing on those that provide insight and inspire action on the global justice dimensions of preventing and adapting to climate change.
ccc-learning aims to improve the quality of climate change education worldwide through:
- increasing understanding of the global dimensions of climate change in young people, across the thematic areas of Impact, Mitigation and Adaptation
- increasing the voice of young people in developing countries on how their communities and environments are changing as a result of climate change
- facilitating cross cultural communication on climate change
- collating high quality educational materials on climate change from around the world all in one place
- supporting the distribution of the these resources and the integration of key messages into school curricula and learning initiatives.
The ccc-learning website aimed at children, teachers and other education professionals is currently under construction.
Please email learning@childreninachangingclimate if you would like to be notified of the site’s launch.
